Click and drag here to make the Player Window wider or narrower. The height cannot be changed.
Amplifier
Amplifies the sound from 0 dB (default amplitude) to 6 dB (twice amplitude). Note that: (i) this may lead to clipping; and (ii) this feature is disabled for some compressed sounds. Use the Sound Control Panel for setting the hardware volume.
Time Display
Displays elapsed time in hours, minutes and seconds
Progress Indicator
Displays the progress of the current sound. Move slider anywhere within the progress bar to skip to that portion of the sound.
Loop Button
Loops or repeats the current sound indefinitely.

Next Sound Button
Skips to the next sound (if there is more than one sound in the queue).

Previous Sound Button
Skips to the previous sound (if there is more than one sound in the queue).

Pause Button
Pauses or restarts playing the current sound.
(keyboard equivalent command-/)
Fast Forward Button
Fastforwards the current sound. Multiple clicks accelerate the playing.

Play Button
Plays or resumes playing the current sound.
(keyboard equivalent command-G)
Backward Button
Plays the current sound backwards. The first click plays at normal speed (but backwards) and further clicks accelerate the playing.
